Dealer Spotlight: First Source Energy Corp – EasyStart Soft Starter Installer

Founded in Michigan in 2006, First Source Energy Corp began with energy-efficiency programs in Detroit through DTE Energy. That same year, the company became the first Westinghouse dealer and completed its first solar installation, establishing a foundation in innovative energy solutions.

First Source later combined its racing technology background with energy and solar programs, including installations at racetracks. Its experience with race engines also led the company into generator technologies and the integration of soft starts and controls into solar and backup power systems.

The company became a Micro-Air dealer, using the EasyStart soft starter to help customers maintain power during natural disasters through generators and battery backup systems. First Source expanded its generator offerings to include portable brands such as DuroMax, Firman, Generac, and Champion, as well as whole-home systems from Briggs and Stratton, Generac, Kohler, Cummins, and Champion.

First Source has also supported customers during installation challenges, including providing no-cost soft starter replacements and installation troubleshooting. During Hurricanes Beryl, Helene, Milton, and Ian, the team traveled to Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina with generators, EasyStart soft starters, food, water, and other essential supplies.
