Living The Airstream Dream in the Great Northwest

Hundreds of iconic vintage and newer trailers journeyed to the 61st Wally Byam Airstream Club (WBCCI) International Airstream Rally June 23-30, 2018 in Salem, Oregon. This is the first time the rally has been held in the west in more than 10 years. We discovered an interesting Airstream bit of history because the first Airstream trailer was built in 1929 by Wally Byam, who was from Baker City, Oregon.

Camper Enthusiasm Exceeds Expectations

Based on the overwhelming demand for the EasyStart™ at last year’s Airstream Rally in Michigan, Micro-Air anticipated an increased demand for their EasyStart™ which works easily with inverters, generators and all brands of rooftop air conditioners. They expanded their team from 2 to 5 staff with additional product inventory to help trailer owners with hands-on education, live demonstrations, and installations.

EasyStart™ Sold Out in 2 Days, More Shipped In & Sold Out Before They Arrived

The larger team had an unbelievable outpouring of interest this time, shattering all plans and expectations.  Campers were literally lined up within the first 30 minutes of booth operation on Saturday, June 23.  Everyone on the team, every minute, of every day, basically had to focus hard on only doing installations, so they could get ahead far enough to accommodate the extra requests.   3 parallel installation teams worked simultaneously as fast as possible all over the fairgrounds.

EasyStart™ Success Stories Abound of Solving the RV Trailer Air Conditioner Start-up Problem

In all, the team sold 130 EasyStarts, and installed 124.  Plus, 3 Westinghouse iGen2500 Inverter Generators were sold out; surprising everyone the generator was so popular.

Joyful Airstream Rally Campers Voyage Onward

This is a way for us to get out into the real RV world, meet our campers and share their adventure. With each rally we help eliminate their air conditioner start-up problems and make happy campers enjoy their summer holidays," said Andy Spaziani, president of Micro-Air.
